Madagascar is unlike anywhere I have been to – from epic landscapes to its incredible wildlife. You can pick chameleon up on every corner and lemurs just can’t wait to be invited to banana!
Before arriving on the island I was not aware of the situation that I found there. Madagascar is among the 20 poorest countries in the world and one of the poorest countries of Africa! Almost 90% of the population live below the poverty line, on less than one dollar per day. Most of them are farmers, working in rice fields all day. Although they live in such a great poverty, they have some spiritual energy that keeps them all together, positive and happy.
Here are some of my favorite images from my trip around the Madagascar. Hope I captured the emotions of its people as well as the beauty of landscapes and wildlife. Dear internet friends, enjoy Madagascar in 30 Photos!
